help for buyers
Do I have to be a member of ticketola before I can buy tickets?
Yes, you can only buy tickets if you have already completed the registration process. It's quick, easy and free.
Can I buy tickets if I am not logged in to my account?
No, you must be logged in to your account before you can transact a purchase. However, you can still browse the ticket listings without logging in first.
How do I find tickets for the event that I want to go to?
If you cannot find the relevant concert or festival in the listings that you'll see on our homepage, just type the relevant concert or festival name into the search box at the top of the homepage, click on 'Search' and you'll see tickets that are available for that event.
Why are similar tickets for the same event showing different prices?
We have no control over pricing; we leave it up to our members to decide how much they wish to charge for the tickets that they are selling.
Can I be sure that the seats will be together?
If you are buying more than one ticket for a seated event from one seller, then you can expect that the seats will be together, unless otherwise stated in the listing details.
What is a GA (General Admission) ticket?
Usually, General Admission means the tickets are allocated in the floor standing area. However, this may vary depending on venue arrangements.
What is a Cat 1 (category 1) ticket?
Category 1 seats are tickets of the highest face value (face value is the price as printed on the ticket, not the ticketola listing). Generally this means that you will have a closer view of the stage.
How do I pay for the tickets?
You will be charged for the tickets (via PayPal or credit or debit card) immediately after you have made the decision to purchase those tickets.
Do I pay for the delivery of my tickets?
No, the seller will be liable for the cost of shipping your tickets to you.
Is your payments system secure?
Our secure, encrypted payments processing system ensures that any information you provide whilst transacting your purchase remains strictly private.
Can I change my mind after I have purchased tickets?
You cannot change your mind and request a refund (unless under any of the circumstances detailed later in this section) after your purchase has been transacted.
When will I receive my tickets?
Our sellers are encouraged to ship tickets to their respective buyers as soon as they are in possession of them. Promoters usually print and send out tickets a week or two prior to the event, so you should expect to receive them from the seller about five days before the event takes place.
How will I receive my tickets?
E-tickets will be emailed to you in PDF format. Paper tickets will be shipped via trackable delivery, ie, Royal Mail Registered or Recorded Delivery, and you will have to sign for the package when it is delivered. If you are not available to sign for your tickets when they are delivered to your designated address, the postman will leave a card which contains details of where you have to go to sign for and pick up your tickets.
How will the seller know where to send the tickets?
After you have transacted the purchase of the tickets, the seller has to confirm the sale within three working days. When the seller confirms the sale, s/he will be furnished with your designated delivery address.
What happens if my tickets are different to those I ordered?
There are rare occasions where sellers may be unable to supply the exact tickets they have listed. In such cases, the original tickets may be substitued for tickets which are comparable or better than those originally ordered.
When does the seller receive my money?
After you have transacted a purchase at ticketola, your payment is held in an escrow account until five days after the event that you have bought tickets for. It is then transferred to the seller if you received the tickets in time and they were genuine tickets.
What happens if I don't receive the tickets in time or if they are not genuine?
You will be refunded the full amount of the purchase price (including our service fee) if the seller decides not to proceed with the sale, if your tickets do not arrive in time for the event or if the tickets you have purchased are not genuine.
What happens if the event is cancelled and not rescheduled?
When you are purchasing tickets, you will be offered the option of buying our 'Fan Guarantee' protection policy. This costs £1.50 + VAT and guarantees you a full refund if the event you have bought tickets for is cancelled and not rescheduled.
How do I apply for a refund?
You must get in touch via the 'Contact Us' page within three days of the date of the relevant event.
How will I be refunded?
You will be refunded via PayPal (our preferred payment method), a bank to bank transfer or by cheque. Payment by cheque will incur a £5.00 charge and a bank to bank transfer will incur a 0.50p charge.
What are ticketola's service fees?
You will be charged a service fee of 12% + VAT of the value of the tickets that you have purchased. This will be added to the price of the tickets at the point of purchase.
